Meet Coach Swinney

Dabo Swinney is the Head Football Coach at Clemson University. This past Sunday he spoke at Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville, Georgia. My friend, Buddy Hoffman, is the pastor. Buddy and our friends at Grace are "flat gettin' it done" for the Kingdom.

If you're in Financial Peace University at LowCountry, you need to ignore one part of Dabo's testimony (you'll see what I mean :-)) What you will hear is a wonderful story of God's faithfulness, love, and grace. Even if you aren't a Clemson fan, you'll enjoy listening to what Coach Swinney shares. His is a great story.

One of my friends, Dr. Carl Martin, pastors CrossPoint Church here in the (s)lowcountry, and  spoke at LowCountry a few weeks ago. I noticed that he had a Bible with an orange cover on it. I had never seen one before. Carl played on Clemson's 1981 national championship football team and his loyalty knows no bounds.  I couldn't help but point out how beautiful this Bible was!  And wouldn't you know it?  One of our peeps bought me a Bible with a Clemson orange leather cover! 

Lynn Jackson manages Heaven Sent Christian Bookstore in Bluffton and gave this to me as a gift last weekend.  Thanks, Lynn! (It helped ease the Tigers loss last night to Michigan...)
